About Morgan and Mona

Morgan and Mona are two wind farms being developed by bp and Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) in the Irish Sea.

They are located approximately 30 km from the coast, with a combined area of approximately 800 km².

EnBW and bp are proud to be leading the development of the Morgan and Mona projects, helping to achieve the UK’s ambition of generating 40GW of power from offshore wind by 2030.

Facts and figures

Morgan and Mona together will be one of the largest wind farms in the world.

The combined potential generating capacity of 3 GW is sufficient to power the equivalent of approximately 3.4 million UK households with clean electricity.

bp and Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) today confirmed the names of their planned new offshore wind projects in the Irish Sea – Morgan and Mona – and launched a dedicated supplier portal for the developments.
